Physiotherapy covers a wide range of needs, from helping with injury recovery to managing everyday aches. With broad experience across clinical and sports settings, our team is here to support you through it all.
Our physiotherapists may use a range of treatments depending on your condition, such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, tailored exercise programs, hydrotherapy, dry needling, electrotherapy, temperature-based therapies, and education.
We recommend wearing clothing that’s easy to move in and gives your physio access to the area of concern, such as activewear or shorts and a t-shirt. Supportive footwear is also ideal.
Session numbers can vary based on your condition’s severity and how you respond to treatment. Your physio will advise you on how many sessions may be needed and help taper them off as you improve.
While some patients may experience some discomfort, physio treatment should in itself not be very painful. If you feel any discomfort during your session, be sure to communicate this to your physiotherapist so that they can adjust their technique accordingly.
We service local residents in Canberra and surrounding suburbs including:
We stay connected with your wider support team to make sure your treatment is aligned, consistent, and tailored to your needs.
We allow extra time during sessions so your questions are heard and your care can be approached with attention and detail.
Our patients are at the centre of everything we do. We take the time to understand your story and goals, and work with you to create a plan that suits.
At Active Recovery, we go beyond being a typical physiotherapy clinic. Whether you’re navigating chronic pain, rebuilding your strength, or striving towards long-term wellbeing, we’re here to work alongside you
