Improving how your body moves and works is at the heart of physiotherapy—whether you’re recovering, managing a condition, or trying to prevent issues down the track.
At Active Recovery, we help the Curtin community reach their movement and health goals through evidence-based physiotherapy. You’ll get thoughtful care, helpful advice, and a plan designed to help you move forward with confidence.

We provide a full range of physiotherapy services designed to support your unique situation, whether that involves recovery, managing pain, or navigating a chronic health concern.

Our focus is on assessing and supporting muscle, joint, and bone conditions to ease discomfort, restore mobility, and help you move well.

We may help you improve movement, coordination, and independence when living with a neurological condition.

We offer sports injury management and rehabilitation to help you recover faster and return to your sport stronger than before.

We offer many rehab services, including pre- and post-operative, work injury, motor vehicle injury, and sports injury.

If you're living with a long-term condition, we aim to support you in staying mobile, independent, and engaged in everyday life.

Our approach supports your transition back to work by working through physical barriers and focusing on injury prevention.

We believe life should be enjoyed at every stage, and staying mobile and independent is a big part of that. We're here to support you.

Physiotherapy covers a wide range of needs, from helping with injury recovery to managing everyday aches. With broad experience across clinical and sports settings, our team is here to support you through it all.
Our physios may employ a variety of treatments in the management of your condition, including hands-on therapies (such as soft tissue massage and joint mobilisation), exercise therapy, hydrotherapy, dry needling, electrotherapy, hot and cold therapy, and patient education.
We recommend wearing clothing that’s easy to move in and gives your physio access to the area of concern, such as activewear or shorts and a t-shirt. Supportive footwear is also ideal.
This varies from person to person, as it depends on the nature and severity of your condition. Some people also respond better to treatment than others. Your physio will be able to advise on the expected number of sessions and will work with you to gradually decrease their frequency.
While some patients may experience some discomfort, physio treatment should in itself not be very painful. If you feel any discomfort during your session, be sure to communicate this to your physiotherapist so that they can adjust their technique accordingly.
