Improving how your body moves and works is at the heart of physiotherapy—whether you’re recovering, managing a condition, or trying to prevent issues down the track.
At Active Recovery, we help the O’Malley community reach their movement and health goals through evidence-based physiotherapy. You’ll get thoughtful care, helpful advice, and a plan designed to help you move forward with confidence.
Our team delivers a wide array of physiotherapy services to help you stay on track—whether you’re working through an injury, addressing persistent pain, or managing a long-term issue.
We assess and treat muscle, joint, and bone conditions to reduce pain, restore movement, and improve function.
If you're living with a neurological condition, we may be able to assist you in improving how you move and manage daily tasks more independently.
We assist with managing and rehabilitating sports injuries, so you can return to your sport feeling stronger and more prepared.
Our rehab services include support for surgery recovery, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and sports-related concerns.
We work with people managing long-term health concerns to help them move well, stay active, and maintain their independence.
Our approach supports your transition back to work by working through physical barriers and focusing on injury prevention.
We believe life should be enjoyed at every stage, and staying mobile and independent is a big part of that. We're here to support you.
Our Hydrotherapy pool supports recovery, eases discomfort, and promotes wellbeing in a gentle, low-impact environment. We’d love to see you in a class.
We offer pain education that unpacks the science of pain and gives you useful ways to understand and take charge of it.
Physiotherapy covers a wide range of needs, from helping with injury recovery to managing everyday aches. With broad experience across clinical and sports settings, our team is here to support you through it all.
Our physios may employ a variety of treatments in the management of your condition, including hands-on therapies (such as soft tissue massage and joint mobilisation), exercise therapy, hydrotherapy, dry needling, electrotherapy, hot and cold therapy, and patient education.
If possible, wear loose, comfortable clothing, such as shorts and a t-shirt. Your physio will need to be able to easily access the affected area, and tight or restrictive clothing can impede this. It’s recommended to wear comfortable footwear, as you may be on your feet and moving around.
Session numbers can vary based on your condition’s severity and how you respond to treatment. Your physio will advise you on how many sessions may be needed and help taper them off as you improve.
Physiotherapy shouldn’t be very painful, though some discomfort may occur during treatment. It’s important to let your physio know if anything feels uncomfortable so adjustments can be made.
