Improving how your body moves and works is at the heart of physiotherapy—whether you’re recovering, managing a condition, or trying to prevent issues down the track.
At Active Recovery, our physiotherapy team offers the Duffy community evidence-based treatments that are tailored to their individual goals. We’re here to support you with hands-on care, practical advice, and a clear plan to help you feel your best.

Our team delivers a wide array of physiotherapy services to help you stay on track—whether you’re working through an injury, addressing persistent pain, or managing a long-term issue.

Through careful assessment and hands-on care, we aim to address issues affecting muscles, joints, and bones to help reduce discomfort and improve how your body functions.

We aim to support you in improving movement, coordination, and everyday independence while managing a neurological condition.

We assist with managing and rehabilitating sports injuries, so you can return to your sport feeling stronger and more prepared.

We offer many rehab services, including pre- and post-operative, work injury, motor vehicle injury, and sports injury.

We may help you maintain mobility, independence, and an active lifestyle when living with a long-term health condition.

We support a smooth return to work by addressing any physical limitations and providing injury prevention strategies.

We believe that staying strong, mobile, and independent is key to enjoying life as you age. Let us support you in this.

Our pain education sessions explore the fascinating science behind pain and equip you with strategies to take control of it.
Many conditions can be treated with physiotherapy, from rehabbing a specific injury to more general pain management. Our dedicated team of clinical and sports physiotherapists has seen it all, no problem is too big or too small.
Our physios may employ a variety of treatments in the management of your condition, including hands-on therapies (such as soft tissue massage and joint mobilisation), exercise therapy, hydrotherapy, dry needling, electrotherapy, hot and cold therapy, and patient education.
If possible, wear loose, comfortable clothing, such as shorts and a t-shirt. Your physio will need to be able to easily access the affected area, and tight or restrictive clothing can impede this. It’s recommended to wear comfortable footwear, as you may be on your feet and moving around.
The number of sessions depends on your individual condition and how you respond to treatment. Your physio will guide you on what to expect and aim to reduce the frequency over time.
Some patients do feel mild discomfort during sessions, but physiotherapy should not cause significant pain. Let your physio know right away if something doesn’t feel right.
