Physiotherapy is all about improving how your body moves and functions, whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or aiming to prevent future issues from arising.
At Active Recovery, our physiotherapy team offers the O’Malley community evidence-based treatments that are tailored to their individual goals. We’re here to support you with hands-on care, practical advice, and a clear plan to help you feel your best.

From injury recovery to managing ongoing pain or health conditions, our physiotherapy services are designed to meet your needs with personalised support every step of the way.

We work with a range of muscle, joint, and bone concerns, aiming to ease pain, improve how you move, and support day-to-day function.

If you're living with a neurological condition, we may be able to assist you in improving how you move and manage daily tasks more independently.

We assist with managing and rehabilitating sports injuries, so you can return to your sport feeling stronger and more prepared.

We provide rehab support for a variety of situations, including before and after surgery, as well as work, road, and sports injuries.

If you're living with a long-term condition, we aim to support you in staying mobile, independent, and engaged in everyday life.

We help you return to work safely by managing physical challenges and offering guidance on how to avoid further strain or injury.

As you grow older, keeping your strength and independence makes a real difference—and we’re here to help you along the way.

Hydrotherapy offers great support for recovery, long-term pain, and general wellness. Come along to one of our sessions.

Our pain education sessions explore the fascinating science behind pain and equip you with strategies to take control of it.
Whether it’s recovering from a particular injury or easing general discomfort, physiotherapy offers support across many conditions. Our experienced team is ready to help, no matter how straightforward or complex it may seem.
Your physio may use various approaches, including soft tissue techniques, mobilisation, exercise-based rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, dry needling, electrotherapy, hot/cold therapy, and educational strategies to help manage your condition.
We recommend wearing clothing that’s easy to move in and gives your physio access to the area of concern, such as activewear or shorts and a t-shirt. Supportive footwear is also ideal.
Everyone’s needs are different. The number of sessions will depend on your condition and how your body responds. Your physio will provide an estimate and adjust the plan as you progress.
You may experience some discomfort as part of treatment, especially when working with sensitive areas, but it shouldn’t be painful. Always tell your physio if something needs adjusting.
